We are two friends with a passion for beauty. On a sunny afternoon at the beach – after an examination in fiscal law – we talked about our dream to once set up our own company. Since we didn’t have a specific plan at that time, we concluded a pact: if we ever would start our own company, we would do it together. The bikini-pact was born!
After our studies, we both started a career as a lawyer in an international law firm. However the bikini-pact was always in the back of our minds. Mid 2012 – the moment where we both would become thirty was slowly approaching – we decided to finally go for it: our own skincare line.
Walter | the experience
Walter started his career in Nepal, in a project of the United Nations for the development of medicinal plants. After four years in Nepal, the idea grew to start his own company. Shortly after, he started the companies La Drôme Provençale and Fytosan, that quickly appeared to be a success story in the business of organic herbs and plant extracts for cosmetics, medicinal products and food supplements.
In cooperation with our specialized bio-laboratory, Walter is responsible for the development of our products. He also works on the processing of the vegetable raw materials for the CÎME products.
He also coordinates the collaboration with our partners in the Himalayas.
Griet | account & sales manager
As a new mom, Griet went out for the first time without her baby for a couple of hours, and yes, she went to a CÎME workshop! She instantly fell in love and we had a new CÎME fan. She loved CÎME that much that she decided to become a CÎME ambassador, next to her main job, freelance job as a makeup artist and her family with two adorable toddlers. After a couple of years she decided it was time for a career switch and now she’s the sales responsible at CÎME!
Carolien | operations manager
After an education in fashion, Carolien started out her career in the commercial fashion branch. Afterwards, she worked in travel insurance for a couple of years, where she perfected her administrative skills and languages. However, Carolien missed working in a creative environment and thanks to her passion for organic, local and sustainable products, she ended up joining our team as a loyal CÎME customer. Her passion and qualities from previous positions now merge perfectly in her new position as operations manager.
Fun fact! Carolien has been volunteering at Boeren Buren/ La Ruche qui dit Oui for a couple of years now, something we can only encourage!
Leen | marketing & communications manager
Leen started out her career as a webdesigner/front-end developer, but after a couple of years she needed a new professional challenge and started a course in Digital marketing. With a degree in aromatherapy and herbal medicine already at hand and with a heart for sustainable and local projects, she finished her training with an internship at the CÎME office.
Never would she have imagined to be able to combine her passion and professional experience in one and the same job. Yet in the meanwhile, she feels right at home in the CÎME team as our colleague marketing & communications.
Meet the CÎME ambassadors
We regularly organize workshops hosted by our ambassadors. Women who are passionated about natural skincare.
During this 2 hour session they'll tell all about natural skincare, teach you some do’s and don’ts and perform an entire facial treatment with our products. Afterwards, they take the time to answer all your questions personally. You’ll be going home as an expert in natural skincare, with radiant skin and samples of your favourite creams!
